Anytime you plan to excavate, you must call the North Dakota One-Call number at 811 at least 48 hours before you dig. IT'S THE LAW. One Call will arrange for the location of all utility-owned underground facilities (i.e. power, telephone, CATV, gas, water & sewer) that may have an impact on your project. You may be held liable for damage to underground facilities if you don't CALL BEFORE YOU DIG!
One Call makes it easy to be safe. By using One Call, the danger of your excavation equipment damaging critical utility systems is significantly reduced. One Call eliminates the need to call each utility when you plan to dig. It will save time and confusion if you know the location of the following: township, range, section and quarter or the 911 street address. One Call will also inquire as to the type of project and length and depth of the excavation. To contact North Dakota One Call, SIMPLY dial 811.
