Students from elementary schools throughout Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative’s service area participated in the cooperative’s 2007 electric safety poster contest.
Students in fourth, fifth, and sixth grade submitted their original posters featuring some aspect of electric safety. The first and second place winners at each participating school received $25 and $15, respectively.
Additionally, the winning posters from each school were judged and first and second overall school winners were selected, as follows:

First Place: Ellendale Elementary School
Second Place: Edgeley Public School
As first place overall winner, Ellendale Elementary School, Ellendale, received a $100 donation and Edgeley Public School received $50. The winning school posters were submitted by Ashley Jenkins, Ellendale, and Siri Armitage, Edgeley.
